Fleet management for mining and heavy industry.

A mining fleet runs staff LDVs next to yellow machines, and each site has its own rules about what they carry. Simply Fleet keeps track of what each asset carries, where it works and when its next check is due.

Staff LDVs, field service vehicles, yellow machines, plant

Remote sites, long sign-off chains.

The work happens at remote sites with their own rules, and decisions at head office go through several signatures.

Different rules at every site

A service vehicle working across several mines has to carry different equipment and meet different compliance requirements at each one.

No signal where the work is

Checklists that need a connection don’t get done on site. They get filled in later from memory, if at all.

Approvals that take weeks

Ordering a vehicle, a fuel card or insurance can need a chain of signatures, chased one email at a time.

How it works across your sites.

Mining fleets usually start here, with each module shaped around their own sites and approval chain. Others can be added as the fleet needs them.

  • Equipment recorded against each asset

Items fitted to a vehicle, such as a fire extinguisher, are recorded against it with their own inspection and renewal dates, and a reminder before each one falls due.

    Asset register
  • Checklists that work without signal

Drivers complete a checklist offline, and it submits once they’re back in coverage.

    Checklists & compliance
  • Your delegation of authority, built in

Each request goes to the right person at each level, in order, with a record of who approved what and when.

    Job cards & requests
  • Yellow machines alongside the LDVs

Plant and heavy equipment sit in the same register as the light vehicles, each with its own checklist and service schedule.

    Asset register
  • Leased vehicles kept in step

Where your vehicles are leased, Simply Fleet can take in the leasing company’s data, so nobody re-keys it.

Approval workflow: each request moves from fleet to payroll to finance, with request-changes and decline paths

Industrial group, staff vehicles

Ordering one vehicle took eight signatures, chased by email.

What we built: Their whole delegation of authority, inside the system. Every vehicle, fuel-card and insurance request goes to the right person at each level, in order, with a record of who approved what and when.

More problems we’ve solved

Questions we get asked.

Some of our drivers work where there’s no signal. Will that be a problem?

No. Drivers can fill in a checklist with no signal, and it sends itself when the phone is back in coverage.

Can we manage yellow machines and plant, not only vehicles?

Yes. The asset register holds every vehicle and piece of equipment you run, from LDVs and trucks to trailers and yellow machines.

Can it follow our approval process?

Yes. Requests and job cards are set up around your own approval chain, so each one reaches the right person at each level, in order.

Can we track what equipment is fitted to each vehicle?

Yes. Something like a fire extinguisher is recorded against the vehicle it’s fitted to, with its own inspection and renewal dates, and you’re reminded before either comes round.
